Content Management System (CMS) Website
The Situation
Primal Tribe first designed a website for Alberta Pork back in 2005. After over six years in use, the site needed an upgrade. As a CMS, the existing site had grown considerably as Alberta Pork regularly added new pages and information. This growth had also resulted in a disorganized site with navigation that was often confusing. What they needed was a brand new site with a revamped structure and fresh design. They were also eager to add a consumer portal, since their current site had targeted producers exclusively. This addition would give them a vehicle to reach a broader audience, building better brand recognition and creating a larger consumer base.
Primal's Approach
Primal Tribe worked with Alberta Pork to reorganize and rebrand their site. A clean, bright design gives Alberta Pork a friendly, approachable look that draws users in. A graphical splash page greets them first, immediately differentiating between Consumers and Producers. With this distinction in place, the Alberta Pork website can target specific users. As a Content Management System, the site gives Alberta Pork control over how their portals grow, allowing them to continue adding useful resources for Producers and Consumers alike.
