The Story
The Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club was looking for unique ways to help the corporate sales team sell advertising with the Oilers. Primal Tribe Inc. came on board and worked collaboratively with the sales team to design and program an interactive sales website. With Edmonton’s main advertising competition being the Calgary Flames, Edmonton not only had to sell Alberta but also the capital city. Overall, their goal was to use current technology to impress corporations and stand out above all other NHL teams.
The Solution
As a technology-focused marketing company, Primal Tribe proposed a solution that was online, measurable and met all of their current sales challenges. The sales presentation was transformed into a high-impact, engaging Oilers website that would excite and educate potential buyers. By creating a unique splash page with an opening video, the Primal Tribe team drew web visitors into the Edmonton Oilers online experience; upon arrival, the user enters the Oilers locker room, which lets them feel like a part of the team.
The experience Primal Tribe created is also enhanced by the Interactive Signage Tour, where potential corporate sponsors navigate easily throughout Rexall Place to see the various signage opportunities. In addition, the multi-platform media pages are equipped with television, radio, print, mobile, and online media examples that a corporate sponsor could purchase.
