The Client:
The Paul Brown Show
The Paul Brown Show is a wise-cracking, line-crossing radio program put on by Edmonton’s 100.3 The Bear. Hosted by radio personalities Paul Brown, Yukon Jack, and Gillian Foote, the morning show caters to listeners who are between 18-35 years old and love comedy with an edge.
The Project:
Content Management System (CMS) Web Design, Custom Programming
The Story:
When they came to Primal Tribe, The Paul Brown Show needed an online presence that was versatile, professional, but most of all appealing to their young and technologically-savvy listeners. The current web design was neither functional nor interactive, and did not properly reflect the Paul Brown brand.
The Solution:
Primal Tribe’s solution: a new, multi-purpose CMS web design. The easy-to-use CMS software allowed administrators to update content instantly – right as it was being spoken about on air, if necessary. This way, the website could keep up with current events as a well as avid fans.
Not only was the website easily updated, it now boasted range of interactive media that allowed more communication between The Paul Brown Show and its listeners. Users could visit a blog, view a flash photo gallery, listen to podcasts of the show, watch videos, and post comments.
Research was the key to success with the Paul Brown site. The Primal Tribe team listened to The Paul Brown Show and became familiar with the program’s target demographic. Our designers created a web design that effectively communicated the show’s branding; our media developers used the latest technology in interactive web design to connect the Paul Brown Show with its audience.
Quick Facts:
The Paul Brown Show CMS Website showcases the extreme versatility of our CMS software, featuring video, photo galleries, podcasting, and email forms.
At one point the website generated 15,000 hits, partly due to a more universal flash video player we incorporated.
