Cleaning Up the Online Presence of a Janitorial and Restoration Company

Grimebusters Ltd. is a cleaning and restoration business that was established back in 1994. This company has been providing residential and commercial services for the Edmonton and surrounding area, and they can handle any janitorial work that comes their way. Residential cleaning; mold and asbestos remediation; fire and flood restoration; even junk removal are no challenge for Grimebusters. They are a local, family run business that has earned their reputation through constantly learning the newest innovations in the industry and being the hardest workers around.

Grimebusters’ biggest obstacle with their digital marketing was figuring out how to portray a cleaning service in a compelling way. The staff at Grimebusters told us that they wanted a completely refurbished image: a new website layout, images, and content to go along with a mobile responsive design. People perceive janitorial services as “unglamorous” and Primal Tribe had to create a website and marketing presence that would show off their ability to help people maintain their homes through regular cleaning services or recover from a mold infiltration, flood, or fire.

Primal Tribe worked with Grimebusters to develop a website for the company in 2010; a lot has changed in website design and digital marketing since then. This is why we created a CMS website on the WordPress platform that would enable Grimebusters to keep up with changes in their industry by frequently editing the content on their site. Our team also made sure that their content had a professional looking layout that would have the most impact on their online visitors. Primal Tribe designed the Grimebusters website to be adaptive on mobile devices such as phones and tablets. We also installed a job postings module so they could let job seekers know when they could offer employment opportunities. The installation of Google Analytics was also a valuable tool to track the success of their website.

Our goal with this client was to develop a strategy to establish a strong visual marketing presence. This redesign was intended to rejuvenate the visual appeal and design of the website to be consistent with what is expected of a modern website. Primal Tribe also improved the user experience on this website through better site navigation.

2. Improve the Content on the Grimebusters Website

Primal Tribe and the client recognized the importance of enhancing the content on their website. This involved the rewriting of the copy to include several “calls to action” that would direct users and turn interested prospective customers into sales. We also ensured that the images used were of a high quality to demonstrate the professionalism of Grimebusters.
